VANTEVERK MITTENS is knitted from the ribbing and up on needles 4,5 mm. I’ve knitted these in Wild Wool which consists of a blend of wool and nettles. Nettles are a natural material that is known for its durability and strength when it comes to wear and tear. VANTEVERK is designed to be knitted with Magic Loop – in the pattern I therefore refer to two needles; the top of the mitten and the bottom of the mitten.

*if you want to knit in an alternative yarn, I would suggest that you choose a yarn with nettles, nylon or polyamide – it gives the mittens more strength and durability when in use.

German short rows are shaping the neck on the first rows after the ribbing.

The socks is knitted from the cuff to the toe with a short row heel with wrap and turn. In the pattern there is a picture and a video tutorial of how to knit the heel.
